André R. Chabot CFA
Mr. André R. Chabot, is the founder and principal owner of Triasima Portfolio Management Inc. He holds a degree in Engineering and a Master of Business Administration. He received his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1990.
From 1980 to 1987, Mr. Chabot worked in the field of corporate finance for the Chase Manhattan Bank and the Bank of Montreal. He joined Bolton Tremblay (now Montrusco Bolton) in 1987 where he was involved in asset mix studies and the management of equities. A Vice-President and Director, he left in 1996 to join Magna Vista Capital Management (now AGF Magna Vista Private Wealth Management), a smaller investment counselling firm, as senior partner. In 1998, he set up a portfolio management team to advise assets for a small mutual fund organization and this team subsequently became Triasima.
Mr. Chabot has been conducting financial analysis and investing corporate, private and institutional funds for over 25 years. He has extensive experience in most aspects of portfolio management, including asset mix, traditional fundamental analysis and in the quantitative approaches to investing.
Scott Collins CFA
Mr. Collins is a founding partner and shareholder of Triasima. He joined the investment team of Triasima upon inception in 1998 as a portfolio management analyst. Mr. Collins has a Commerce degree and he successfully completed his Chartered Financial Analyst certification (CFA) in 2000. He had worked as an investment banking analyst at corporate finance firms Wallace Dewan and Gordon Capital from 1996 to 1998. On the investment management side, Mr. Collins is primarily involved in traditional fundamental analysis of Canadian companies and in the portfolio management of private wealth portfolios.
Redouane Khireddine CFA
Mr. Khireddine is a founding partner and shareholder of Triasima. He joined the investment team of Triasima in 1999 as a portfolio management analyst. Mr. Khireddine has a postgraduate degree in Finance and Banking and has experience in trading systems modeling and quantitative analysis. He successfully completed his Chartered Financial Analyst certification (CFA) in 2003. On the investment management side, Mr Khireddine is involved in quantitative and trend analysis and in the portfolio management of specialized equity mandates.
Edward Antczak MBA, CFA
Mr. Antczak joined Triasima in 2012 as portfolio manager. He holds the designations of Master of Economics, Master of Business Administration and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Mr. Antczak has more than 25 years of financial market experience that includes private wealth management at the Royal Trust Company, financial analysis at the Caisse de Depot du Quebec and portfolio management at the Rio Tinto Alcan pension fund.
Mr Antczak will be primarily involved in the Canadian Large Capitalization equity strategy working closely with Mr. André Chabot. His experience will enhance Triasima’s fundamental research of Canadian companies as part of the “Three Pillar” investment methodology.
Ron Cheshire
Mr. Cheshire joined in 2010 and is involved in business development and the strategic growth of Triasima. He holds a Bachelor in Economics and a Master of Business Administration.
Mr. Cheshire holds the Canadian Investment Manager designation and is also a member of the Professional Risk Managers’ International Association (PRMIA) as well as of the CPBI, ACPM and AIMSE organizations.
Mr. Cheshire has a large expertise of portfolio management in North-American and International markets. His most recent roles included as Managing Director with Natixis Capital Partners in London, UK, a private equity firm involved in real estate in Europe, and as Vice President and Chief Investment Officer with Presima, a former real estate affiliate of the Caisse de Dépôt investing in publicly traded real estate securities worldwide.
Sam Reda CFA
Mr. Reda joined Triasima in 2011. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business and is a CFA Charterholder. Mr. Reda has also completed the Institute of Corporate Directors program offered jointly by McGill University and the Rotman School of Management (University of Toronto).
Mr. Reda is President of Maralex Capital Inc., a consulting firm specializing
in helping investment management companies. As Chairman of Triasima and as an independent Board Member, he is involved in the general business development of Triasima and offers his guidance on the strategy and management of the firm, including on issues of ethics and corporate governance.
Mr. Reda has 35 years of investment related experience. He was previously Vice-Chairman and Executive Vice-President at Fiera Sceptre and has also served as President and Chief Operating Officer at Natcan Investment Management, First Vice-President and partner at TAL Global Asset Management and Manager for Confederation Life, Montreal Pension Division.
Mr. Reda is a member of several boards, investment committees and management committees for various organizations, including the Professional Liability Insurance Fund of the Barreau du Québec, Eterna Investment Management/Global Real Estate Group, Royal Victoria Hospital Foundation, the pension fund of the J.W. McConnell Family and the International Foundation. He is also very active with CFA Montreal.
